lasso, magic wand, The tools in the image to the right are all of the marquee tools listen on PhotoShop, magnetic lasso, these all are used as a select tool, the selecting, cropping, shapes allow for specific shapes/sections clone tool); on an image to be selected. This shows the rectangle tool (the tool that is pinned to the toolbox and the elliptical, row and column tool that is listed underneath). As I use individual layers for each section I do not really use these tools as I can just copy or delete whole layers from the document when I need to target a specific aspect of the image. The image to the right shows the line I drew being copied by the rectangle marquee tool. The image above shows The line I drew, then I selected the rectangle marquee tool and selected the entire thing.
The image to the right shows the
selected line, then CTRL + C and CTRL + ALT + V pastes the copied graphic in place.
This shows an example of how
the marquee tool can be used. I might use this tool in this assignment and if I do it will be documented on the diary.
Lasso is another tool on
PhotoShop, the image to the right shows all of the lasso tools in PhotoShop, this is used like the marquee tool to select certain items from a document, and this can be done by clicking if the asset is all the same colour or roughly tracing the asset with the tool to select the asset. The lasso tool can be used just like the marquee tool the difference is that the lasso tools can be used by tracing an asset rather than using a standard shape to copy the assets over with. This can be used if the asset needed is not a circle, square, rectangle, row or column. I do not intend to use this feature of PhotoShop, however if I do it will be listed on PhotoShop along with all of the other tools that I use in this assignment.
Magic wand is another tool that is used to differently
select assets from a document. The image to the right shows the magic wand tool. This basically lets you select assets just like the other two tools in this section, the example images are going to be the exact same and I
