Dear Frito Lay, May 4, 2017

We are freshman students at Austin High School in Austin, Texas. Our names are Luke WIlliams, Jackson Ritz, and Celty Crow. We are
doing a geometry project in which we design and create a new and more effective container for your product. We chose to re package your
smallest sunflower seed package that you would find at most gas stations. We chose this package because we often buy your product at a sports
event or on the way to the ranch. We notice that your product had a lot of extra air space in the package. We also noticed that it was plastic which
is harder to re purpose. So we decided to take on the challenge of recreating your package to make it more efficient and eco friendly.

We made our experiments very valid according to the borders and outlines of this product. We measured the products length, width, and
height to get the exact area and volume. To find the area of the package we took all of the lengths and multiplied them together. Then we added
those lengths to get our overall area of 424 cm sq. Then to find the volume we used the formula V=Bh(volume equals base times height) and that
came out to be 308 cm cubed. From our results we found out that there had been 36.36% of air space that had been wasted from the packaging
before hand. So we shortened the length of the package and turned it into a rectangular prism to provide little to no air space and saving materials
for packaging in the future. Therefore you will save money while selling the same amount of product(sunflower seeds) with a more efficient
packaging analysis.

The changes that we made to your product reshaped it, saved space, and is going to provide more profits for your product in the future.
We helped save 112 cm cubed from our experiment but still allowed for proper advertisement and nutritional values to all customers in the future.
We hope that our calculations helped give you an idea of saving space and being eco friendly at the same time. Our new packaging will help our
big time in the long run. Thank you for letting us review your product and experiment on it.

Sincerely,

Jackson Ritz Luke Williams Celty Crow
