VE GOT THE
p WHITE RIBBON WEEK # MAY 8™— 12™
Dear Parents,
Next week, May 8th - 12th is White Ribbon Week at Silver Crest Elementary to promote
making smart choices in media and online. Our theme is “I've Got the Power!” We
want the students to learn that they have power over what they see, share, and do
with media and technology. While we will be sharing short messages at school that
will help them gain power in internet safety, the most powerful teaching will come from
you at home. Please take the opportunity each day to teach and expound upon the
messages they will be learning at school.
Each day we'll have a “Power Boost" message given in the morning and a fun, daily
activity the students may participate in. At lunchtime, the PTA will have a table set up
in the lunchroom where students can recite the "Power Boost” message to receive a
treat or prize. Please help your child memorize the “Power Boost” and encourage your
child to come to the “Power Table” when they have finished lunch each day,
THANK YOU!
