Title: The Cheeseburger

Purpose: Show how much embedded energy is in a cheeseburger.
Type of presentation: Video

1. A lot of energy is used from the point of getting from a cow to burger, As well all the
condiments and bread and cheese, add a lot of energy that we unnecessarily use because we
transport and ship and use pesticides.

2. People are trying to be more Eco friendly with their food choices. As well starting to buy more
organic and local produce. Awareness is being raised for GMO products and such and its more
cubically talked about.

3. This benefits society because we become aware of the issue and start using and wasting the
mass amounts of energy unnecessarily .

4. There is still mass consumption of a lot of embedded energy in major fast food chains,
therefore overall in America we are not making the best effort we can. However awareness has
been raised and local food and produce vendors are gaining a bigger market, thus helping the
environment.

In conclusion there is a lot of energy use from the beginning until the end of making a burger to
someone being able to eat it in a store. The embedded energy is extremely high a waste. When
we can grow and produce locally and be more environmentally friendly. Therefore people
should start looking at local markets and organic options to help facilitate the use of embedded
energy.
