Ex: William Faulkner

Faulkner was born in 1897.

He died in 1962.

He grew up in Oxford, Mississippi.

His most notable works include Absalom! Absalom and As I Lay Dying

He won numerous awards such as Pulitzer Prize and the Nobel Prize in Literature.

William Faulkner affected Mississippi at the state level by drawing attention to an often

overlooked area. He brought both recognition and respect to our literary production.

Faulkner affected The United States of America by shedding light on the topics such as

slavery, racism, rural poverty, and romance. He affected the world by becoming the

second most studied author of all time behind William Shakespeare.

An interesting fact about is that you could often find him hiding naked in trees upon

approaching his home.
