Retirement Party

As an administrator it will be my responsibility to recognize my

employees years of service for the district in which I work. I was

tasked with honoring an employee of 20 years with a retirement

party for his years of service. To do this, I went to all the

classrooms of the school and asked who would like to participate

in recognizing this man for all he did for the school. From there,

the team and I worked inform the staff of the event, plan the

event, provide food, and purchase him a gift. We had a music

party with all of the students and I got on the microphone to

address the man and the rest of the school. This opportunity

allowed me to understand that school is still a people business. It

was an honor to recognize such a valuable employee.
