To Whom It May Concern:
tam writing on behalf of Tyler Jones, senior at Western High School. | have gotten the chance to know Tyler over
the three years, as he was a member of the Varsity Basketball team the past two seasons. During that time, Tyler
has proven to be a dedicated athlete and an even better person.
‘Tyler was one of the most intelligent players | have ever had the pleasure to coach. His demeanor on and off the
‘court was truly inspirational to the rest of his teammates. He was truly a "Team* player as he did not care about his
‘own personal statistics but rather what could he do to help his teammates be successful. During Tyler's senior
season he truly was.a ‘coach’ on the court, 1also believe you can learn about a student's character by their
behavior when they think that adults and coaches are not watching them. | have witnessed Tyler display great
character on a daily basis.
‘Tyler was a dedicated member of the Western Panther Basketball program. Tyler played two years on the varsity
at Western while leading his team to the Interstate 8 Conference Championship. It was the school’s first
championship since 1985. His contributions earned him the ‘Coach's Award’ asa senior. Tyler was also very
helpful during the J. Panther Camp as he served asa coach to the younger elementary players. | know the young,
players really enjoyed Tyler as their coach. Tyler also had a tremendous playing career as a member ofthe
Western Football Program. Asa result | believe Tyler will be successful at anything he does after high school.
Ibs my pleasure to recommend Tyler as a requirement for this Senior Portfolio. Feel free to contact me at (517)
