HEALTH ADVISORY UNDAS 2015

1. People are advised to bring their own food and water to ensure safe preparation and avoid
diarrhea or even food poisoning. Bring foods that have longer shelf-life.
2. Avoid buying street foods. The public are warned against patronizing ambulant foods peddled in
cemeteries. Safety and sanitation of these foods are doubtful as these might be exposed to dust
and other disease-causing organisms. Diseases such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, hepatitis and
food poisoning may be contracted from this unsanitary foods/water.
3. Schedule your cemetery visits either early in the morning or late afternoon to avoid too much
exposure to the suns UV rays. Special attention must be given to younger children and older
adults as they are more prone to experience HEAT STROKES. Bring along with you clean, potable
water at all times.
4. It would be better not to bring along babies and small children to cemeteries/memorial parks, as
they are vulnerable to contracting diseases due to their low resistance to infection, heat, and
congestion.
5. Kung makararanas ng mga sintomas ng pananakit ng tiyan, pagsusuka at panghihina,
makabubuting pumunta na agad sa pinakamalapit na ospital o health center upang maagapan.

All health facilities are on code White alert in preparation for Undas.
