Letter to Parents

Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s) of Miss Gayleys Art Students,

Hello, I am Miss Gayley, your childs art teacher! I am very excited for the semester

ahead of us, and I would like to start it out by making a few things clear about my class. Whether

your child is heavily involved within the art department, or just getting an elective requirement

out of the way, they are wholly welcome in my classroom, and are encouraged to take advantage

of my after-school and office hours if they are in need of assistance or additional direction. In my

classroom, I aim to welcome and celebrate students from all walks of life. Discrimination will

not be tolerated, and this classroom will hopefully be a safe and comfortable space for children

of every race, ethnicity, religion, sexuality, gender, and social class. Every childs heritage is

valued, and as a class, we will explore the differences that make every student unique. Thank you

for your time, I quite look forward to getting to know your child in the coming semester!
