June 27, 2014 To Whom it May Concem: Thave had the pleasure of working with Jaclyn Gatto since December 2013. She entered my classroom as a paraprofessional, and while that was her official job title, it truly does not suit her, as Jaclyn is a teacher in every sense of the word, Jaclyn is able to teach students of varying ability levels, from nonverbal students with autism, to those functioning well beyond their age/grade level, all within the same classroom. Her upbeat and engaging personality allows her to reach even the most reluctant of leamers. I left on ‘maternity leave in January, and I was confident in leaving my students, knowing that she would be there to run the classroom. When I returned three months later, I was impressed with how much progress my students had made, which speaks volumes of her as a teacher. Furthermore, Jaclyn is kind, warm, and nurturing. Children of all ages are immediately drawn to her and are comfortable in her presence. She establishes relationships so quickly with students. So quickly, in fact, that if you had walked into my classroom on her first day, which was a few ‘months into the school year, you would have thought she had been with us from the very beginning. Additionally, Jaclyn has formed many positive relationships with teachers, specialists, and administration. She has proven to be reliable, consistent, dedicated, and flexible. Jaclyn would be a tremendous asset to any school lucky enough to have her and she will be greatly missed in my classroom. I recommend her without reservation. Please do not hesitate to contact me at campbell @medford.k12.ma.us or 781-507-5591 with any further questions.
