Caroline and I sports-med a varsity baseball game at Crespi high school. We
provided water throughout the game and iced the athletes after the game.
During the game, Logan Pollock got sick and threw up. He had food
poisoning and sat out for the rest of the game. We gave him some water to
drink. The pitcher also needed ice for his shoulder because of overuse. An
injury could have occurred when the outfielders dove for a ball, dislocating
their shoulder. Also, when the runners dove on bases, that could have led to
a subluxation or dislocation, or even a fracture.
