2 lbs ground beef 2 eggs 1 cup bread crumbs 2 t.salt 1 t. pepper 1 t. garlic powder Aluminum foil 4-6 slices of ham 6-8 slices of cheese 2 cups spinach 10-12 strips of bacon
1. Preheat the oven to 350 F.
2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, eggs, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Stir until smooth. 3. Pour the mixture onto a sheet pan covered with foil. Press the meat evenly until it forms a rectangle. Cover with ham, cheese and spinach. 4. Using aluminum foil, lift one end and wrap it up like a rocambole, pressing down. Tighten and close the two ends. On another pan covered with foil, place the strips of bacon side by side, with a distance of one 1/4 inch. 5. Place the rolled meat roll into one end of the bacon strips. Using aluminum foil, gently lift the bacon to wrap it around the meat. Wrap the roll in the aluminum and bake for 25 minutes. 6. Increase the temperature to 500 C. Remove the foil and bake for another 20 minutes until the bacon is crispy and golden. 7. Let cool, slice and serve
