establishment and demanded a change after the disappointing results of the Russo-Japanese War.
This forced Tsar Nicholas II to grant a constitution to establish the Duma parliament. The failed
government system soon changed after the Russian-Austrian rivalry that fell into being a
contributing factor towards World War I. Thereafter, the rise of the Soviet Union began. This
entirely changed the game; Bolsheviks managed to overthrow the provisional government and
establish a dictatorship made up of the proletariat. The political structure changed through ruling
under the Communist Party. By around the 1930s, Joseph Stalin has already taken up his role as
a dictator and is going through all extents in order to consolidate his power. Being power hungry,
he drives out a second revolution which forced multiple downfallsincluding labour camps. A
few years pass from all the mass political, societal, and economic destruction along with war,
and you reach the Cold War. Russia gained more power and promoted the Soviet revolution over
in regions in China, the Middle East, and Asia. The need for power and followers was nearly
unstoppable. Even after Stalins death, the Communist Party withheld their positional power and
dominance firmly. The political strictly hardly shifted because of the continuous dictatorship,
communist, and socialist ideologies being pushed through the ruling powers agenda.
Throughout all of this, there is an underlying theme and continuity of dictatorship and power
hungry leaders. From people in power in the early 20th century, such as Tsar Nicholas II, to the
late 20th century, Vladimir Putin, all have exemplified their thirst for ruling and power being
nearly unquenchable.
