Reflection:30 Points-Please let me know what you have learned!

What I/we learned from this project? Name at least 3 items. (4-6 sentences) I
learned that while we want to do everything when we are young, we cant travel the
world or just do whatever we please. As adults we have to pay bills, find a place to live,
and balance a monthly budget. Due to this and all we have to do, we are restricted either
by money or time and being an adult and having responsibilities are going to be
extremely difficult. I also learned how to plan out a monthly budget and how much to
spend in each category of my life, before this I had no idea how much I should spend on
my car or apartment. Its pretty cool that we are becoming more aware of what is going
to come when we get out of college so we make smaller mistakes and are more
prepared.

What parts of this project were challenging? Name at least 2 tasks. (3-5
sentences) The most difficult part was finding an apartment and good car insurance.
This was mostly because I had to pick a nice location that also had job opportunities that
fit what I want to do when Im older. Luckily I found a very nice complex that is spacious,
in my price range, and that I could share with someone else. The car insurance however
was a bit more difficult to find a good deal. I learned that because I wanted to live in
Saint Paul Minnesota, my rates would be much higher than if I were to stay in a small
town like Grayslake. Therefore I had to get as many discounts as I could in order to get
my quote down to around $130, but I did it.

Explain what would apply to your real life. (3-5 sentences)

All of these things would probably apply to my life at some point, although my
balanced meals probably will not be in my life for awhile. Other than that, I need to
learn how to hunt for apartments, get car insurance, budget my groceries, and find
cheap but fun entertainment. Its good that we get to learn these skills as high school
students because down the road, these things really will apply to our lives, and I believe
that they will come in handy in the near future.
