Collecting dust
1. We prepare the petri-dish. For our group, we use two petri-dishes.
2. We coated one dish with oil and another with soap bar
3. We then began collecting dust particles. We went down stair with petri-dishes and
walk around the school, including cafeteria, gym, fire exit, football field, etc. for 20
minutes and we left them under air conditioner.
4. The next day, we put the petri-dishes under the stereomicroscope and analyzed
the particles we collected and took pictures
5. We concluded the results

After collecting dust around the school, we found a fair amount of small dust particles of
dust and pollen in the air.

In our opinion, the area with most dust (worst air quality) is under the air conditioner in
our classroom. After we left the petri-dish there for one night, the amount of dust
noticeably increases and the petri-dish is no longer transparent.

The area that has the best air quality is around the football field. We think it is because
the air is always flowing and there is a wind so dust particles do not accumulate there.
We have walked around the whole school but the dust we collected at that time could
not be compared to the amount of dust inside the classroom even though we did not
move the petri-dishes at all.

Summary: Air quality in MUIDS is not very good especially in the classrooms.
