aspects of sports - The role of the governing bodies in the commercial aspects of sports is
to make sure that they are following all the rules and making the best business decisions
possible.

national/international laws - The relationship is they both try to benefit the other and
make sure there rules go together such as steroids being illegal.

sports. (give some recent examples) - They have a lot of responsibilities including hiring
and firing coaches and owners and they have to provide great leadership for their team.
10. What is the role of agents in the governance of professional sports - Among a
professional athlete's most trusted allies are his coaches, teammates, and agents. A sports
agent is friend, advisor, mentor, business associate and, in many cases, lawyer. Early in
2012, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) broadened the organizations
definition of a sports agent to include third-party influences, including family members,

of USA Basketball (USAB), which is recognized by FIBA (also known as the International
Basketball Federation) as the national governing body for basketball in the United States
