Gonzalo Garza Independence High School "Webamone aera oni ae watery singel te core fang ft wlan wna” easiest ‘May 18th, 2017 ‘To Whom It May Concern, {am writing this reference at the request of Emilja Worthington, who was my social studies student in the United States History class inthe Spring of 2017.1 have knowin Emilja for approximately six months in my capacity asa facilitator at Gonzalo Garza Independence High ‘School. Based on Emilija’s grades, work ethic, and creativity, Lcan honestly say that Emiljais an exceptional student and hae grown tobe a responsible adult. Emilia has a numberof strengths to offer any organization or team. Throughouther time at Garza Independence HS she learned ekils for time management and organization. Students at Garza are responsible for their own coursework pacing, which requires a level of organization, prioritization, and grt not necessarily demanded of other high school students. Emilja was a hhatural at this, ané was successful in completing her U.S History coursework in record time. She wasnet only efficient at completing her work, Emilija exhibited high levels of creativity and {deeper cognitive understanding ofthe concepts presented. In addition to her many transferrable skills, Emilfja’s overall characteris one of compassion, kindness, patience, and care for others. With lighthearted humor and constant encouragement, Emilia conducted peer tutoring for other students who were having a difficult time passing standardized test for our state. Having ‘excelled at these exams, she passed on her study skills to her peers and encouraged them to trust in themselves along the way. Perhaps Emilija's greatest quality really is this: Emilja is truly one ‘who believes that tobe successful means to encourage others on thelr path to success too.
