Seven yards away a tight lipped crinkled old woman sat on the blue bench
Alone.

Ten years later theyre married

An unlikely couple some may say
Or not if you believe- opposites attract.

No children or pets as per her request

Just adventures, stories and friends per his

He makes jokes while she sits

As she pretends to be busy.
She complains about politics while he sits
And pays attention.

He likes whiskey and she sips wine

But at least they never run dry.
A love so deep they just cant leave
At least until they run out of time
