The familiarity between psychoanalytic and the movie Tangled by Nathan Greno is the
way the main character, Rapunzel was raised. Rapunzel is a teenage girl that was initially

This psychoanalytic perspective ties into Tangled by giving the main character,
Rapunzel, a bad sense of wanting to go out to the real world and explore. Her early childhood
was based on lies and loneliness. The witch, who claims to be Mother Gothel, always
prohibited her to leave that tower because it would mean she was a target and was no longer
safety. She always had an unconscious motivation to leave the tower, she didnt know why she

horrible attachment she had with her caregiver. Her early childhood shaped the way she saw the
world but she knew she wanted to be different and had the inner motivation to be different.
