It is my pleasure to write this letter of recommendation for Ms. Stacy Indianer. Ms.
Indianer is a rare individual whose quiet and gentle demeanor belies strength and
determination.

Ms. Indianer taught a combined third-fourth grade class at our enrichment school while
she was a student at Michigan State University during the 2015-2016 school year. I was
concerned about Ms. Indianer when she began teaching in our school as her class had
students with learning and emotional needs, and she had little teaching experience. My
concern was short-lived. Ms. Indianer met with me several times early in the year to
better understand the curriculum and discuss methods of teaching. She quickly got to
know and developed relationships with each of her students, and found ways to reach
and teach each individual as well the group as a whole. She was very patient with
several students who required special attention and her calmness and composure were
comforting and reassuring to all. Her gentle but firm manner resulted in a positive
classroom atmosphere and positive learning experience for her students.

Ms. Indianer was well-liked by her students, the high school assistants that worked with
her, parents and other staff members. She was well prepared for each class, turned in
lesson plans in a timely manner, and continually sought creative and interactive ways
for students to connect with the subject matter. She had a strong desire to learn and
improve as a teacher, sought out help as needed and incorporated suggestions
appropriately. She was able to include information and expertise gleaned from other
related experiences into her teaching university course work, field placement, study
abroad, summer and camp experiences.

These characteristics and skills, in conjunction with her ability and continued training,
make her an excellent addition to your faculty and school. I recommend Ms. Indianer
