Has Croydon cat killer claimed another victim?

There are fears the so-called Croydon cat killer may have struck again after a b
ody was found in the front garden of a home in southwest London.
South Norwood Animal Rescue and Liberty (SNARL), which has catalogued more than
200 animal deaths, said the body was found in Wallington, near Beddington Park,
two days ago.
In a Facebook post the charity said: "The cat bore injuries that are a match to
the UK animal killer. At present the cat, a large tabby, has not been identified
.
"Due to the injuries we can't tell what sex the cat is but are going to have ano
ther look today and will update if we can tell. Rest in peace little one xx," th
e post continued.
News of the latest death comes after reports last week that a kitten's severed p
aw was found in a garden in Ewell in Surrey.

Foxes and rabbits have been killed as well as cats, but it is not clear if the d
eaths are linked.
The bodies have mainly been found in the Greater London area but also further af
ield with three cat deaths in Hampshire recently linked.
SNARL is holding a memorial for the victims next month and is advising cat-owner
s to keep their animals indoors at night, and to only let them out during the da
y when they can be supervised.
The Metropolitan Police said last June that it had already spent 1,020 hours inv
estigating the deaths since the inquiry was launched in December 2015.
There is a 10,000 reward for information leading to the capture of the killer, or
killers.
