About Muis Halal Certification

T
he sole custodian of Halal
certification in Singapore, Muis
started offering Halal certification
services since 1978. It implemented the
first and second Muis three-year plan
(M3YP) in 2004 and 2007, respectively,
aimed at making it one of the best Halal-
certifying authorities in the world.

Types of Halal Certificates


Muis issues six types of Halal certification
schemes:
• Product – for locally-manufactured/
