Argumentative Revision Reflection essay 05/14/17

Based on the revision that I have made on my argumentative essay, it was focused on the

feedback that I received from Professor Batty and Diana the in class tutor. On page one, I

focused on revising the thesis at the end of the first paragraph since it was not as strong or clear.

The feedback helped me emphasize a clear thesis which helped me with the rest of the revision.

On the second page I started the first paragraph with a new approach that reinforced my

argument with proof that life does begin at the first stage of fertilization by quoting it from

ZaraTarso, a pro life author at Live Action News as advised by Professor Batty. On page two I

also joined paragraph two with paragraph three and deleted the last paragraph because it was an

unnecessary paragraph that went into a totally different debate that had to explain cloning. As for

the third page I deleted the entire first paragraph and made a new counter argument. I also used a

new quote from the book: The Immortal Life Of Henrietta lacks to better support my counter

argument by applying the advice from Professor Batty. I also deleted the first sentence from the

second paragraph on the third page to make it into a better sentence that could connect with the

counter argument. On the fourth page I added new information to the conclusion. Although it

was a lot of work throughout this process of revising my argumentative essay. This effort to

revise my essay has thought me a lot in developing arguments and using critical thinking to help

me support the research for my own view of this essay. I have learned a lot from researching

information and learned how to apply new information with my own knowledge. Writing this

argumentative essay has definitely given me the opportunity to develop new writing and research

skills that I will use in the future.
