In our opinion the five cultural values in Romania are:

1. Love. Why love? Rightly understood, love is our most noble human value. Love activates,

empowers and encourages the growth of our other core values. Love is the ideal touchstone and

the ultimate facilitator. Love plants the seeds of friendship and guides their tending over time in

the midst of rich and challenging human diversity. Love instinctively instructs our listening and

shapes our deep voices. Our work in community stretches us to understand, respect, and support

each other, teaching us why learning to love is one of the most demanding disciplines we can

choose.

2. Love has everything to do with Courage. From the very beginning of time, Romanians had

the courage in their blood; for example Stephen the Great faced the ottoman army many times

with fewer men and also defeated them because they were motivated by courage and love for

their country and their families. Our ancestors passed to us two types of courage: moral courage

and courage driven by strength and power. By moral courage we face deadlines and we are able

to take ambitious projects in our line of work. I think we are mainly fueled by these two values.

3. Creativity and passion. Despite seeming to care less about many things (including their own

future sometimes), Romanians are capable of great passion, and can pour their soul into what

they do. When they are passionate about something, they go the many extra kilometers, they

defend friendship and people and come up with amazing solutions. We all know that the

Romanians are known for the unexpected solutions they find for problems. We think that these

values are very important in Romanian culture because this explains the high number of

Romanian Olympiad winners in sciences, for example, the number of Romanians promoted to

regional levels in multinational companies, and the Romanians who inspire the world with their

music or with any other sort of art.
