For a dense polenta:


3 cup water
1 cup non-dairy milk
tsp salt
2 cup coarse corn grits

For a medium polenta:


3 cup water
1 cup non-dairy milk (or water)
tsp salt
1 cup coarse corn grits (cornmeal)

For a soft polenta:


3 cup water
1 cup non-dairy milk
tsp salt
1 cup coarse corn grits

To clean the pot after the cooking process:


2 tbsp baking soda
1 cup water
