This document summarizes information from 5 sources that studied the Moringa stenopetala plant. The sources examined the antibacterial properties and effects of extracts from M. stenopetala seeds and leaves. They found that methanol and n-hexane seed extracts had antibacterial effects against bacteria that cause waterborne diseases. Other studies evaluated the biochemical, hematological, nutritive and diuretic effects of butanol fractions and hydro-ethanolic extracts of M. stenopetala leaves on rats and mice. One study specifically looked at the effects of crude extracts and fractions of the leaves on normoglycemic and diabetic mice.
