Lin-Manuel Mirandas life (Part 2)
While Lin-Manuel was in Wesleyan University, he started working on his first
musical, which was In The Heights. In The Heights is a latino filled community
musical that won 4 tonys including best musical. 7 years after, he started
working on his next best musical, Hamilton. It was about the life of Alexander
Hamilton, from his sex scandal to his last duel with Aaron Burr. That musical got
11 tonys and 16 nominations. He also composed the music for Moana and was
nominated an academy award for the song How Far Ill go.
He created the music for Moana and will be composing the music for the Live-Action
Remake of The Little Mermaid.
Why he inspires me
Lin-Manuel Miranda inspires me because even though he has done musical on
american history, he stays true to his culture. He works so hard since he is worried
about his legacy. We only have so much time on this earth so might as well try and
make the world a better place while we are here.
