Johnny and Julian are two orphans, who escape the brutality of the world by creating their own safe reality inside their apartment. Made of video games and movies. Their uncle is their sole family. He lived the horrors of the war which mentally upset him, a light-heartedly odd man. The companion of the two kids is a robot dog, Wells, a present given to them after the death of their parents, in order to count on the immortal memory of their love. After the end of the bombing, Uncle Gus will take the kids to cross the devastation, to face the adversities of the scary shire, Spectra. Along the way, they will meet a small war orphan who cannot speak. They call her Daisy, like the flowers she was collecting while they met her. The atmosphere is filled with fun and weirdness, despite the brutality that surrounds them. They are cynical characters, that will add to the dramatic scenario funny moments that would hide or reinterpret the atrocities of life.
This story will be made through the VR technology by which
we will fully enter the story. We will play with the perceptions of the audience and with what the characters live, say or feel.
The audience will undertake Wells perspective, based on what
he sees or remembers. Wells is a floating robot dog, capable of interacting with everything and record what he sees. It has a sort of personality, very poorly shaped. It will be the vehicle of the narrative, single point of view, incarnation of the interactive possibilities of VR technology, in its specific 360 form. Since the POV is settled in the robot dog eyes, what the viewer will see, will not just be a recording of reality but also of Wells inner moments.
The adventure will consist of three chapters. Will be defined
by two climaxes, due to the sudden switch off of Wells circuits. Thanks to this narrative device, the audience will be able to witness the events that will take place in a three month timeframe.
