I. INTRODUCTION the light emission resulting from the impact, generates
branching tree-like patterns around each of the fingers.
Throughout human history [1], there has been a belief
that all humans have a bioenergy or aura which surrounds Tree-like branching
their entire body. With the advancement in science and patterns
technology, the phenomenon of bioenergy has been
concluded to be electromagnetic field (EMI) generated by
the body itself. When applied on the diagnostics of human
health, the common term used to describe this energy is
Bioenergy; energy emitted by biological system [2].
The bioenergy presented in this paper is based on
coronal discharge images of the fingers captured through
BEO GDV (Biological Emission and Optical radiation,
stimulated by electromagnetic field, amplified by Gas
Discharge with Visualization through computer data
processing) developed by Konstantin Korotkov [3].
The technique is based on the occurrence of coronal Figure 1a: Impact of alternating current upon gas discharge
discharge when a high intensity electric field is created
around an object as its basic fundamental principle. Since
photon emission accompanies such phenomenon, it is
therefore possible to capture and analyze this coronal
discharge as a photographic image through appropriate
software.
Combining with the fundamentals of Traditional
Chinese Medicine (TCM) in meridian channels, the system
is able to provide an overall health status of a patient. This
is achieved by capturing and analyzing the images from all
ten fingers which lies on the meridians thus providing
feedbacks of the major systems and organs, which they are
linked to.
The bio-electromagnetic field or aura mention in this Figure 1b: Actual Image of the Finger

By holding parameters like the electrical source and
other physical conditions of the test subject constant,
variations occurring in the resulting image will be mainly
caused by the nature of the gas surrounding the finger and
the conductivity of the fingers. Explanations of why the
vapour surrounding the finger and the conductivity of the
skin and body may vary can be in three areas: the biological
(associated with the local reactions on the body, e.g.
ionization of water molecules or salts on the skin, or
reactions to iron in the blood, which is related to the
distinctions in the metabolism rate, which arise because of
differences in organ functioning, diet, hormones, body
rhythms, autonomic nervous system, or psycho-emotional
states), the biophysical (based on the body physics of

The procedure of the experiment involves capturing
and processing images of all ten fingers of the test subject
through the BEO GDV system as shown in Figure 2a and

Average Fragments Index in patients was also lower
with values of 3.33 (against 30.75 for volunteers) on the left
hand and 1.72 (against 30.92 for the volunteers) on the right.

Stated below are Bioenergy parameters studied.

x Uniformity shows the degree of geometrical

regularity of the GDV-gram external contour
(higher values; greater bioenergy flow continuity;
indicates healthier sign ).
x Mean dullness mean dullness of the image of
finger (higher values; unbalanced bioenergy flow;
associate with higher stresses).
x Average dullness average dullness of the image
of selected sector within the finger (higher values;
unbalanced bioenergy flow over the area the sector
represented; higher stresses over the area).
x Fractality dimension ratio of perimeters of the Figure 3: Results of a Male Stroke Patient
sector against the average radius of the image
(lower values; lower uniformity; higher stresses in
the sector).
x Fragments number of bioenergy fragments
within the sector (lower values; lower uniformity;
higher stresses in the sector).

From observations from the Bioenergy parameters

studied in the experiments, there were some consistent
difference in the results between the stroke patients and the
volunteers.
Average Uniformity index was lower in patients, with
values of 2.57 on the right hand and the left hand, as
compared the values of 3.43 and 3.33 in the volunteers left
and right hands.
Mean dullness index of the patients was higher, with
values of 166.59 on the right hand and 165.43 on the left
hand, as compared to the volunteers values of 142.35 on
the right hand and 143.30 in the left hands.
Higher average Dullness indexes were recorded within
the cerebral related sector on the hands of patients, with
values of 205.32 (against 172.21 for volunteers) on the left
hand, and 204.85 (against 171.90 for volunteers) on the
right hand.
Average Fractality Dimension index of the patients
was lower than volunteers, with 2.52 (against 3.50 for the Figure 4: Results of a Male Volunteer
volunteers) in the right hand and 2.27 (against 3.56 for the
volunteers) in the left hand.

IV. CONCLUSION

In conclusion, the results achieved have shown that the

measurements of Bioenergy were able to clearly detect and
identify stroke or cerebrovascular attack patients out of the
entire sample population, justifying the possibility of
having measurements of Bioenergy as a form of medical
diagnostic tool. It is intended to create and extract the
results for various diseases to form a database for
comparison of measurements as a form of general health
screening.
Current health screening comprises of medical tests
such as blood test, urine test, blood pressure monitoring and
medical imaging e.g. X-rays, MRI and CT scan etc.
Although these methods have been the standards in health
diagnostics, these only analyze the body as an isolated
system. Furthermore, a lot of time and costs are necessary
in some of these screenings, not to mention the limitations
and harmful effects accompany with the processes.
Bioenergy examination can offer a holistic approach
towards the analysis of the health condition of a person
which is simple to operate, easy to interpret, and low in cost.
The Bioenergy field can be used as feedbacks to the patient,
who can be brought to positive alter his/her bioenergy field

We will now need to conduct extensive studies to
correlate bioenergy parameters and indices with allopathic
medical symptoms and indices. Additionally, we will
provide biophysical and medical inferences to bioenergy
fields
