Contextual teching and learning is the method that help the teacher to
correlate between the lesson with the real situation and it can support the students
in making the correlation between the knowledge and implementing it in daily
life. By contextual teaching and learning, the result of the learning will give a
benefit for the students. The process of contextual teaching and learning is done
naturally, the students do activity of learning and not transfering the knowledge
from the teacher to students. The strategy of learning is more important than the
result. Above all have done at MTs. Negeri Sukahaji Kabupaten Majalengka, but
there are some students the followed the remedial in the second semester
2015/2016 period. This means that the minimum criteria of achievement is not be
reached by the students yet. However, all of effort have done by the teacher in
teaching and learning process. This Phenomena is being the material of the
research for the researcher to make an observation.
The aim of the research is to describe the application of contextual
teaching and learning method, to describe the students achievement, and to
describe significandy the correlation of contextual teaching and learning method
with the students achievement at MTs. Negeri Sukahaji Kabupaten Majalengka.
The design of the research is built by the assumption that contextual
teaching and learning have correlation with the students achievement at MTs.
Negeri Sukahaji Kabupaten Majalengka.
The method of the research by using quantitative method. The collecting of
the data in this research uses observation, questionaire with purposive samling
and the students report of 28 respondents from 112 students at MTs. Negeri
Sukahaji Kabupaten Majalengka in 2015/2016 period. To answer the hypothesis
of the research by using Product Moment Correlation.
The conclusion of the research is the application of teaching and learning
method had done well, the students achievemens in Fikih is good (average 78,67)
and the relationship between the application of contextual teaching and learning
method with the students achievement is very strong and significant (0,887). It
means that the method of contextual teaching and learning correlate directly with
the students achievement.
