The Marshall family arrived to the Ferny Grove area in 1868. They are one of the early settlers of the area. When the Marshall family arrived to Ferny Grove there was already 2 other families in the area. The McGinns and the McCulloughs Marshall Farms The Marshall family was soon well known in the area for their farming fruit and vegetables. Grapes, potatoes, cauliflower, oranges and mangoes were grown. In 1929 the Marshall farms also had 50 hives for bee farming. McGinn Family A well known Farming Family in the Ferny Grove area. Donated land to the Upper Kedron hall McGinn Farms Was also involved in fruit and vegetables on their farm At one point in time the McGinn Farms had 1000 bee hives for farming. In 1929 the McGinn Farms had 70 bee hives.
