Section 1:
government building in Bucharest and in other Romanian cities. At first people thought this was
just a protest toward right-wing demagogy. This was not the case; the point of these movements
was to show to the rest of the world that in this corner of Europe democracy was alive and well.
The point of these protest is not to weaken their democracies but to strengthen them. This form
of protest has spread across the world. In the Romanian government has some corrupt leader
which have led to many problems for the nation including high poverty, polarization, and social

We have been talking about democracy and order in Europe recently in class and this is
exactly what the people are looking to gain through this protest. These people in Romania, and
the others who are protesting elsewhere, want a better democracy so their country can prosper.
As I mentioned earlier the Romanian government has had some corruption which has led to high
poverty, polarization, and social and economic Injustice. In class, we have talked about all of the
same problems occurring in these regions: the middle east, Africa, and even in Europe.
Section 3:
I agree with the protest and I think they are morally right. The citizens of Bulgaria have
the right to be able to protest when their government is corrupt and not doing enough to help
them. It doesnt surprise me that these people made a stand for what they believe in, they needed
a better government so they are doing what they can to get one. It upsets me that government
could let the problem get this far. The people of Bulgaria should not have to protest for the
government to do its job right, it should be able to do it on its own. If I was a person in Bulgaria I
would do the same thing. Protesting seems to be the only way to make the government pay
