Section 1:

A month ago, in Romania hundreds of Romanian protesters stood in front of the

government building in Bucharest and in other Romanian cities. At first people thought this was

just a protest toward right-wing demagogy. This was not the case; the point of these movements

was to show to the rest of the world that in this corner of Europe democracy was alive and well.

The point of these protest is not to weaken their democracies but to strengthen them. This form

of protest has spread across the world. In the Romanian government has some corrupt leader

which have led to many problems for the nation including high poverty, polarization, and social

and economic injustice.

Section 2:

We have been talking about democracy and order in Europe recently in class and this is

exactly what the people are looking to gain through this protest. These people in Romania, and

the others who are protesting elsewhere, want a better democracy so their country can prosper.

As I mentioned earlier the Romanian government has had some corruption which has led to high
poverty, polarization, and social and economic Injustice. In class, we have talked about all of the

same problems occurring in these regions: the middle east, Africa, and even in Europe.

Section 3:

I agree with the protest and I think they are morally right. The citizens of Bulgaria have

the right to be able to protest when their government is corrupt and not doing enough to help

them. It doesnt surprise me that these people made a stand for what they believe in, they needed

a better government so they are doing what they can to get one. It upsets me that government

could let the problem get this far. The people of Bulgaria should not have to protest for the

government to do its job right, it should be able to do it on its own. If I was a person in Bulgaria I

would do the same thing. Protesting seems to be the only way to make the government pay

attention to its people, so thats exactly what I would do.
