Dear Ms. Gomez,

Im interested in applying for this daycare assistant position. When I saw this announcement on
the newspaper I was super excited. I have experience taking care of kids. Last summer, I was a
teachers assistant. I worked all summer at a pre-school. Every other month, my family gets
together and most of the time I take care of my younger cousins. Im the best candidate
because I have experience with kids from age 2- 10 years old. I have also volunteered at
orphanages where I worked with kids.

My volunteer work last summer at the preschool was a new experience for me. I was able to
interact with the kids and they really enjoyed it. A couple of things we did were playing music
and blowing bubbles. My first day was crazy because the kids didnt understand why I was
there; it took them a couple of days to realize that I was just there to help. Since day one, the
kids liked me. They demonstrated this by telling me how they felt about me; they showed me
love through cards they made and hugging me while saying I love you. Helping at this
preschool really changed me for the better.

Im very interested in this job because I want to be more involved working with children in early
station development.
