Recallthatweneedtohavethetermswrittendownwiththeexponents
indecreasingorderandtomakesurewedontmakeanymistakeswe
addinanymissingtermswithazerocoefficient.

Nowweaskourselveswhatweneedtomultiply togetthefirst
terminfirstpolynomial.Inthiscasethatis .Somultiply by
andsubtracttheresultsfromthefirstpolynomial.


Thenewpolynomialiscalledtheremainder.Wecontinuetheprocess
untilthedegreeoftheremainderislessthanthedegreeofthedivisor,
whichis inthiscase.So,weneedtocontinueuntilthedegreeof
theremainderislessthan1.

Recallthatthedegreeofapolynomialisthehighestexponentinthe
polynomial.Also,recallthataconstantisthoughtofasapolynomialof
degreezero.Therefore,wellneedtocontinueuntilwegetaconstant
inthiscase.
