TECHS: A HELPDESK SIMULATION

============================
By Ben 'Magic' Brown (ben.brown@talk21.com).
Feedback and bugs welcome.

Overview
--------
"Techs" is the main component of my final year project as part of a degree in Bu
siness Computing. My focus has been on producing a helpdesk simulation where use
rs are challenged with running an IT support service and have to solve computer-
based problems for fellow staff members. I have used the Adventure Game Studio s
oftware to create it.
At present I have created ten functional rooms and scenarios encompassing an int
roduction sequence, a tutorial instructing new users on how to use the interface
, five scenarios each containing a unique IT problem, along with three sets of c
haracter sprites (Two of which are borrowed from the Reality on the Norm Pack wi
th permission), sprites and interactions for the various objects (Computers, des
ks, doors, etc) and character dialog.

Instructions
------------
Unzip the files from the zip archive, by default this is into a "Techs" director
y. Double left click "Winsetup.exe" and check that the options are as you desire
- e.g. some users may want to run Techs in a window. Either click "Save and run
" or click save to close the window and then run Techs.exe.
On the menu, use the EYE icon to get information on a scenario and use the HAND
icon to start it. I recommend that you run the introduction sequence first.
For those familiar with adventure games, the interface is similar to past Sierra
titles where you right click to change the mouse icon and then left click on th
e area to interact with. If you have never played an adventure game before then
use the HAND icon on the Tutorial button to learn how to use the interface.
