Itis without hesitation that | write this letter of recommendation for Sara Zielinski. Sara
has had a 16 week placement at Smith Middle School in the Troy School District. During
her student teaching, | have been her student teaching coordinator.
Sara consistently demonstrated a strong understanding of teaching skills. She is
organized, prompt, prepared and professional. She would spend many hours preparing
lessons and materials. Sara would incorporate her own ideas into the already
established curriculum to enhance students’ learning and make the lessons more
interesting. She learned quickly how to pace the lessons and incorporate a variety of
teaching instructional strategies into her daily routine.
‘Sara has a warm, friendly and kind personality. These traits helped her develop good
relationships with students and other teachers in the building. Her natural confidence
and friendly demeanor get students to respect her and want to learn from her. She has
a great handle on classroom management issues.
During her student teaching experience, Sara has become an active member of her
school. She participated in a variety of activities including workshops and in-services. In
addition, she attended staff meetings and parent teacher conferences. Sara also
chaperoned dances and the 8” grade Washington D.C. trip.
Sara is an extremely reflective teacher. She always self evaluated and would seek
feedback from me and her supervising teacher. She always wanted to do more, which
speaks highly for her work ethic
| would highly recommend Sara for a teaching position. She would definitely be an asset
to any staff. She is a competent, responsible and knowledgeable teacher. She is a
