Sara was a student in Geography 400, Geography Education, during the fll semester of 2015, “The course isa senior seminar for geography, socal studies, and history stents interested in {eaching social studies. Sara participated actively in clase discussions and presented well n font of the class. Hee fist lesson was a world awareness lesson on world islands which had students working with laminated maps. Her team did a nice job of collaborating and putting together an effective presentation and managing classroom activity, Her second presentation was a contemporary lesson on resources in Southwest Asia. Her third presentation was a history lesson on the Silk ‘Road, Both the presentation and the follow-up lesson plan dealt effectively with a complex topic. Sara did an excellent job of pulling it all together into a unt on Southwest Asia. Sara ‘eamed one of only two As given in a class of nine students. Sara performed well in all aspects ofthe class. Her strength may be her outgoing personality and verbal skills, but she also did a nice job on the writing and research aspects ofthe class, Sara has ‘the intellectual ability, dive, and personality to become a very successfil teacher.
