administrations program to mitigate hunger and poverty alleviation
of the ProgramangAgrikulturang Pilipino (Agri-Pinoy) with the

with the Department of Education.
The program aims to boost the awareness of the students on
the significance of growing vegetables through the
GulayansaPaaralan program. Under the said project, the
vegetables should be organically grown in innovative pots and in
empty containers to minimize expenses. In addition, it would help

health hazards. And since the vegetables are chemical-free, those
are safe to use as a source of ingredients for the school feeding
program.
Under the K to 12 basic education, the Department of Education
(DepEd) continuous to create students awareness about production
of more food on the table, through vegetable gardening within the
scope of schools Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE). This is
to nurture resiliency and sustainability of scant resources in local and
simple waysand instill among the students the ideals of good health
and nutrition, production, love of labor and cooperation.
