The first year ofthe Islamic. calendar was the year during which Prophet Muhammad (saws) migrated from Makkah to Madinah. This is known as the Hijrah. Suhoor can be eaten anytime before Fajr. You should try to have alight and healthy meal such as fruit, a small sandwich, dates and lots of water. Remember! Ramadan is the month of eating less, not more. But we should try our best to put in extra effort during the month of Ramadan so that we can gain lots of rewards insha’Allah. Zals/s Mihiee For Remadem 1-Try not to over eat at Iftar time. 2- Make plenty of Dua just before you break your fast, as this is one of the times Allah accepts your Dua. 3-Try not to eat foods that can give you bad breath ‘or make you thirsty the next day... foods such as raw garlic & onion, 4- Wake up before Fajr and eat your Suhoor, even ifitis only one date and some water. 5-Wear your best clothes and smell your best, then go to the mosque for Isha & Taraweeh prayer... But remember, don’t go to the mosque if you have eaten smelly foods such as raw garlic or onion as this will annoy the person praying next to you as well as the Angels in the mosqué> 6- Take some dates or sweets to offer to your brothers and sisters at the mosque. 7- Read, memorise and learn many new surahs from the Quran. Try to avoid doing things that will waste your time such as watching TV or playing video games. 8: Invite family and friends to Iftar so you can increase your rewards. 9- Avoid using foul language or getting angry. 10- Try to continue doing all the above after Ramadan. Here are some ways to have an almost perfect Ramadan day! 1- Go to bed right after praying Taraweeh at the mosque. 2. Remember to make wudu before you go to bed, say all your du'as and read some Quran. Sleep on your right side. 3+ Wake up for in the middle of the night for Tahajjud (night prayers). 4- Make Suhoor and then go to the mosque for Fajr prayer. After you pray Fajr, stay in the mosque and read Quran until sunrise and then pray the Duha prayer (two units). 5- Start your day at school or work and be very well behaved. Be honest and truthful to all people and smile to whoever you pass. Don't say any foul words and be patient with everybody, even if someone says or does something that you don't like. 6- Pray Dhuhr & Asr at the mosque. Make lots of Tasbih during the day and read more Quran. 7- When the Athan for Maghrib time starts, make lots of dua and then break your fast with dates and water. Go to the mosque and pray Maghrib in jama‘ah (congregation). 8- Go home and eat a healthy meal 9- Prepare yourself for Isha and Taraweeh prayers at the mosque by wearing your best clothes and smelling your best. Take some dates or sweets to offer to others and go to the mosque. 10- Pray Isha and Taraweeh prayers, then go home and get ready for bed.
