Hydraulic stabiliizer leveling jacks

The machine could be equipped with several types of stabilizer and/or leveling
jacks activated by the hydraulic system. The type and location are dependant
on the size of the plataform and the options.

Stabilizers are use to eliminate chassis side to side and from to back motion
providing solid foundation for the lift and platform. Optional leveling
jack/stabilizers are use to enable the operator to level and stabilize the chassis
befor operating the lift on uneven terrain and inclines. The following is a
description of the most common stabilizers and their location.

Standar platform lift controls

The hydraulic pump that provides high pressur fluid to the steering cylinders
also provides hydraulic pressure to the cylinders for th lift, stabilizers and other
hydraulic accessories. With the engine running, lift and stabilizer control are
activated by raising the accessory control leveler in the operators compartment
to activate the hydraulic accessory circuits. The steering will not function and
tramming controls are locked out.

Stabilizers control levers

there are three stabilizers control levelers that lower and raise the stabilizer
jacks. Units with stabilizers are equipped with four stabilizers located on the
front and rear sides of the platform chassis. Units equipped with optional
leveling jack/stabilizers located in front of the truck en d and two on each side
fo the rear of the platform chassis. The control lever functions are the same for
both stabilizers jacks, one for each side, and one lever for the front stabilizers
jacks that are self leveling and controlled by one lever.

A push/pull divider valve is located ner the controls. Pull the diviter to activate
the control levelers, push the diviter valve to deactivate the stabilizer controls.

Platform lift control lever

There is one lift control lever next to the stabilizer levers that raises or lowers
the platform. Pull the diverter valve to activate the lift control, then push or pull
the lever to raise or lower the platform. Special flow limiters near the lift
cylinder restrict the descent speed of the platform do not attempt to increase
the platform decent speed. If the control lever is moved too far while the
platform is descending, the lift will stop. If this occurs, release the lever and
restart the descent. Push the diverter valve in to deactivate the lift controls
when lift operations are complete.
