OPERATIONAL GUIDELINES in the implementation of RA 10912 CPD for ARCHITECTS Section 28 of Article IV, Republic Act 9266, provides for the policy of the State to regulate and professionalize the practice of Architecture. Section 15 of Article IV of Republic Act 10912, otherwise known as Continuing Professional Development Act of 2016, provides for the authority of the Professional Regulatory Boards to prescribe their own requirements and procedure to effectively implement the CPD program. Section 7, Rule 2 of Implementing Rules and Regulations of RA 10912, provides for the creation of a CPD Council in each of the regulated professions. Every CPD Council shall be composed of a chairperson from PRBOA, and two (2) members each from the IAPOA and CODHASP. Section 1 Date of Regular Meeting The CPD Council of Architecture is hereby mandated under this resolution to meet every Second (2"¢) Tuesday of the month for the purpose of evaluating the application for accreditation as CPD provider, program, self-directed and/or lifelong learning and other CPD related matters. APOs of other countries with CPD training program Section 13, Rule 3 Implementing Rules and Regulations of RA 10912 Role of Concerned Government Agencies and the Private Sector All concerned government agencies and private firms and organizations employing professionals shall include the CPD as part of their human resource development plan and program. Section 3 Types of Accredited CPD Programs Conferences and Conventions + The different activities, training, talks or programs within a conference or convention are individually approved and assigned provisional credit units + For multiple programs, PRC may send an Audit Team (several Monitors). n Lectures / Seminars by qualified speaker 3. Example: The architect or his/her immediate family memberis suffering from serious illness, subject to approval of the CPDC.
