The movie to kill a mockingbird let us understand how was the life in the

1930s, showing the contrast between two worlds. These two wolrds, white
people and black people, have been isolated from each other since the time
of colony due to racism and slavery, and in this movie those social issues
are clearly present. However I reckon this story has more to say, than just
show us the unfair and miserable life of black people at that time, and for
this I mean it is remarkable the attitude of some characters, mainly of Mrs.
Atticus Finch a lawyer who has the determination and the courage, in a
society blind by racism and slavery, to defend the case of Tom Robinson, a
black men who had been acussed of raping a white woman. His main
purpose was to make others saw what he saw in Tom, just an ordinary
human being, with the same rights as them, and that not only because he
has black skin, he had necessarily to be guilty. However people refused to
change their mind, and racism won another battle. Fortunately nowadays
the wall between black and white people is almost collapsed, society has
finally changed their point of wiew.
