Sewerage technology in Malaysia has improved significantly within a span of

over 5 decades. Back then, rom the Currently, the sewerage services in Malaysia
are operated by Indah Water Konsortium, covered 88 local authority areas.

Water service Metro Manilla is provided by MWSS, which is the largest


privatization project in the world. Since Angat Dam, the only present source of
water supply (for domestic water supply, power supply and also irrigation water)
for MWSS service area can only serve 87% total service coverage plus the
increasing demand projected, requiring the MWSS develop new water sources.
Water use conflicts between water supply and irrigation source also causing a
need of replacement source for irrigation. World Bank has committed to
undertake study to MWSS for any necessary action, in order to come up with a
new road map. As for irrigation, The TWG undertakes study to evaluate the
alternative replacement source.
