HEAT
6.1 CALORIMETRY:
heat is a form of energy on gaining which a body becomes hotter on losing a
body become colder.
The thermal condition of a body which determines whether or not heat will
flow from the body in contact is called the temperature of the body.
The temperature is measured by Celsius or centigrade scale in CGS system
and also by Fahrenheit scale in FPS system. In SI temperature is usually measured
by kelvin scale.
In CGS system heat is measured by unit is called coria, which is the quantity
if heat required to raise the temperature one gram of pure water
