At this very moment enormous numbers of

intelligent men and women of goodwill are trying to
build a better world. But problems are born faster
than they can be solved. ~ B.F. Skinner, Walden Two ~
Walden Two is a story of a Utopian society where all of
the worlds problems are solved with technology built on
human conduct. Not having read the book, I cannot tell
you if the worlds problems where truly solved. But
Volume 7 Issue 3

based on other utopian novels Ive read, something

always goes wrong.
Realistically, there is no possible way we can solve the
worlds problems. When one problem is solved another arises. However, this daunting
fact should not inhibit us from trying to fix the world. Hope is a powerful thing.
The theme for Summer BreakOUT 2017 is Build a Better World. During this time we are
focusing on activities that will help build a better world by using the sun to cook,
upcycling trash, reconnecting with friends, and making a positive change in our
community.
We must put all doubts aside as we strive forward to help others, our community, and
the world. Dont let that positive light fizzle out no matter how many problems go
unsolved.
Good Luck. ~ Pam
