There are many way the Angkor Wat showed conuity over

times. Before 802, Angkor Wat was not found there were

Chenla, Funan and Champa. From 802CE, Jayavarman II
founds the Angkor/Khmer Empire, it expanded from Funan up
to Chenla. Angkor Wat still expanded in Funan and Chenla
when Suryvarman II builds Angkor Wat in 1113CE. In 1177CE,
Angkor Wat still collapsed in Funan and small part of Chenla,
that time the Chams attacked Angkor. After that, in 1204CE,
Jayavarman VII retakes Angkor Wat and defeats the Chams,
this moment, Angkor Wat expanded bigger and conquered the
whole Funan and whole Chenla. Most of the time, Angkor Wat
took a big part of Mekong river. Over many times,
Angkor/Khmer Empire took place at Funan

There are many differences that the Angkor Wat changed over times. From
six maps, we could see a lot of changes of Angkor/Khmer Empire.
According to Source2,when Jayavarman II found the Angkor/Khmer Empire,
the the empire grew out of the former kingdoms of Funan and Chenla.
Angkor Wat started to expanded over the from the North-West of Thailand,
at the coastle of Gulf of Thailand sea when Suryvarman II build Angkor
Wat. In 1177CE, the Chams attacked Angkor, it took a small part from the
South of Angkor Wat. In 1204CE the acreage of Angkor was the biggest, it
expanded over the coastle of East Sea where Vietnam is and coastle of
Gulf of Thailand sea. As you can see from Source1,2,3,4,5 vs. Source6,
there are many of differences. The acreage when Angkor besieged by
Thais (Source6) was very small, just a part from the South near the border
of Vietnam-Cambodia and that time (1431CE, Source6) Angkor, known as
the capital city of Angkor Wat, was not longer stayed in side Angkor/Khmer
Empire.
