School districts across the Unites States are partitioned by wealth, unfairly segregating

students. Police forces arrest black individuals three times as often as those of other races,

unfairly dividing our nations population. Shockingly, the average white household holds 16

times the median wealth as that of a black family, unfairly separating our nation. Although some

analysts may say that Paines position on the American lifestyle holds true to this day, in fact, it

does not because of the vicious cyclic cycle of poverty in America and the novel policies of our

nations federal government limiting immigration to the United States.

25 percent of blacks in America suffer from poverty, drastically higher than the national

13 percent average. Compared to non-hispanic whites, this shocking imbalance represents a

cyclic cycle of poverty virtually unbreakable in one generation. The white households in America

are far more prosperous in the United States compared to African American homes because of

a vicious trap dictated by a need from teen years to support a family and chronic, statistical lack

of education in lower class families; Returning the victim to the beginning of the cycle. This

cycle of poverty is defined as when poor families become impoverished for at least three

generations, with no return from an impoverished state. where are you citing this

information? Because of this, the offspring of these poor generations are, again, stuck under

the median income levels. Thomas Paines analysis of an America in which all people,

regardless of race, ethnicity, or origin is purely and obviously false in present, modern

America.

G Recently, policies instituted by the United States federal government have excluded

certain kinds of people from immigrating to our melting pot country. G Paine recollected of his

era that the lived in that every part of the country could cordially and in piece, and this is

obviously and plainly not so. Apparently, this value is not evident in our government or society

today if we live in a country that allows the blocking and removal of types of people based on

origin and stereotyping. For example, a ban on immigration and travel to America from certain

Middle Eastern countries has shocked a nation founded upon the principles of fairness and
immigration rights, especially during an age of racial tensions. Fueled by movements like Black

Lives Matter, the tensions exacerbate the already differing way of life from the one Thomas

Paine once lived. Although some believe that lapses in unity like these are not very prevalent

in our society and that the standard ideas outlined by Thomas Paine still hold true, this is simply

false. Our nation is plagued by disunity and racial separation, and is only digging itself a deeper

a deeper hole with every new issue, protest, and vocalization for change.

American society and the normal way of life has been changing for decades, centuries

now. It has oscillated between times of prosperity, to patriotism, to tensions, to goodwill, and

back again. Despite the ever changing situations and eras, the America we live in today is

nothing like that of Thomas Paines era, detailed in his famous pamphlets.
