1 ORDER MANAGEMENT
ESSENTIALS IMPLEMENTATION BOOT CAMP
The Oracle E-Business Suite R12.1 Order Management Essentials Implementation Boot Camp offers a comprehensive
coverage of fulfillment part of the Supply Chain Management application family, including the new enhancements that
have just been released in R12.1 with substantial functionality improvements.
What will we cover:
In this course, students learn about the basic order capture and order fulfillment flows that Oracle Order Management
facilitates, and also learn how to perform setup steps, including transaction type, document sequence, processing
constraints, defaulting rules, ATP & scheduling, and hold setup, that enable these flows. Students learn how to perform
the Oracle Inventory setup steps that support Oracle Order Management, including how to create Subinventories, units of
measure, and items. Students also learn how to perform required Oracle Receivables setup steps, including how to create
customers, payment terms, and territories, and how to define credit checking. The course includes information about how
to enable multiple organization access control (MOAC) specifically for Oracle Order Management. In addition, the
course includes details about how to setup up basic Pricing and Shipping Execution functionality, and also provides
details about price lists, modifiers, qualifiers, and shipping-related activities. The course includes practices that train
students how to setup the functionality described in the class.

Prerequisite Training and Environment Requirements:


Since this an Oracle EBS R12.1 Order Management class, Oracle partners employees with previous Oracle EBS R12 or
R11.5.10 Order Management knowledge and experience should attend this boot camp. No other pre-requisites are
currently required.

Contents of the Boot Camp and their recommended usage:
The organizing framework for the boot camp sessions includes: a set of Presentations, Demo Document and Labs &
Solutions document. The set of presentations (PPTs) contain pictorial diagrams & screenshots to give the participants a
high level overview of the respective section/topics. It is recommended to follow the presentations by the guided
demonstrations on the Vision Instance using the Demo Document that contains a detailed explanation and step-by-step
procedure. The next recommended step involves participants to be given assignments using the Lab & Solutions
document that has been especially designed to provide hand-on practice to attendees, which reinforces the fundamental
concepts learnt.
