Bacteria
History
Bacteria have been around for millions of years, some are essential to life and some are
very harmful. Prior to 1928, they killed millions of people, and it was not uncommon
for people to die of small injuries and cuts. But in 1928, Alexander Fleming discovered
penicillin which was seen as a wonder drug, and it created an entire industry. Since
then we have been misusing and abusing them. This has lead to resistance.
