The Designated Employer Representative (DER) Program enables DERs to confirm that their
employer is fully compliant with the regulations in 49CFR part 40 and pertinent modal regula-
tions.

This program involves upholding the highest professional standards in two main areas:
-Consortia/Third Party Administrators (C/TPA)
-Responsibilities of the DER

This program provides instruction and resource materials which assist the DER to understand
his/her role and relationship in the drug testing process; including contact with the C/TPA In-
diana Testing, Inc, Collectors, MRO and SAP.

The DER Certification Program provides the DER with recognition for his/her excellence,
knowledge and adherence to industry standards for drug and alcohol testing and understand-
ing of the importance the DER executes in the process.
